Today was another sight seeing day. A day trip to Kanchanaburi to see the Tiger Temple and the bridge over the river Kwai. On the way there was a stop off at the floating market for an hour or so, a market that, well… floats! The people of this area live in houses built around river and canal systems so this is the way they get around and trade. Although the locals do trade here in crops and produce produced by themselves, the tourist machine is beginning to get hold unfortunately and so there was a lot of souvenirs and pushy sales going on, which did spoil it a bit.
Around the floating market there are also land based stores. This chap was ushering people in and out of the place. He was more than happy for me to stop and take his picture though.
